Adam Singer
Adam Singer is an experienced Divorce and Family Law lawyer. Family disputes are among the most difficult challenges people can face, and Adam is devoted to helping his clients achieve the best and most cost-effective results.
Adam places great value on working closely with his clients. Usually it is preferable to resolve issues through negotiations, but there are times when court proceedings are necessary. Adam is equally comfortable in the courtroom and in alternative dispute resolution processes such as mediation and arbitration. A seasoned litigator and negotiator, he has appeared before all levels of court in Alberta, and was a criminal defense lawyer and civil litigator before focusing his practice on divorce and family law.
Adam is a highly skilled communicator. He has honed these skills throughout his law career, as well as his previous experiences writing for CBC radio and working as a newspaper and magazine reporter.
Community & Professional Involvement
Adam values the importance of community institutions in people’s lives and has contributed significant time and expertise to various organizations. He has mentored younger lawyers through the Alberta Law Society, taught the Negotiations and Professional Responsibility modules of the Alberta bar admission course, and was a Volunteer Lawyer with the YWCA Sheriff King Legal Clinic. Adam has also served as a Volunteer Lawyer with Calgary Legal Guidance and Student Legal Assistance at the University of Calgary, Editorial Board Member of the Alberta Law Society Newsletter, Vice-Chair of the Canadian Bar Association Calgary Health Law Subsection, and Member of the Canadian Bar Association (Alberta) Task Force on Fault/No Fault Insurance.
